Odyssey Charter School, established in 2006, is Delaware’s first mathematics content-focused public charter school and the only one that offers a Greek language immersion program. The school offers a classical approach to public education with a rigorous standards-based curriculum and instruction in the Greek language. Odyssey Charter School has a diverse student body of over 2,300 non-Greek heritage students in grades K-12.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Greek as a foreign language teacher at Odyssey Charter School in Wilmington, DE. The teacher will be responsible for teaching Greek language classes and designing materials for students in grades K-12, providing a challenging yet nurturing learning environment that emphasizes classical learning ideals.

Qualifications

• Greek language teaching to non-native Greek speakers, Lesson Planning Skills, and Material Design
• TWO years of teaching experience in a classroom setting is REQUIRED (not private lessons)
• Effective Communication skills in English are required
• Experience in teaching Greek is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required

The school starts on 20/8 and you should be able to be here at least one week before.
