Job Summary:

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a leading innovator in the waterworks manufacturing industry to find a Global Supplier Sourcing Manager . This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned professional ready to lead and transform our international supply chain initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sourcing international suppliers, within a manufacturing or industrial environment .

As a Global Supplier Sourcing Manager, you'll be a key leader in strategically sourcing materials and services from our diverse international supplier base. In close collaboration with the Purchasing Director and Supply Chain VP, you will set the vision and objectives to achieve a world-class international sourcing system. You'll develop and implement advanced strategies for global supplier management, robust risk mitigation, and comprehensive compliance, all while achieving significant cost reductions across our worldwide operations. You'll lead a talented team, cultivate critical global supplier relationships, and ensure operational efficiency on an international scale.

Collaborate with the Purchasing Director and Supply Chain VP to define and achieve ambitious goals and objectives for establishing a world-class international sourcing system.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically identify, evaluate, and onboard international suppliers , ensuring strict alignment with global business objectives and conducting exhaustive due diligence across diverse geographical and regulatory landscapes.
• Lead and expertly manage complex, global supplier-related projects , from meticulous planning and execution to proactive risk mitigation within an international context.
• Oversee the operational management of a global sourcing team , providing dynamic leadership, expert guidance, and actively recruiting new talent to bolster our international capabilities.
• Cultivate and maintain robust, high-value relationships with global suppliers to consistently ensure compliance, superior quality, unwavering reliability, and optimal cost-effectiveness across borders.
• Conduct continuous, in-depth global market research to identify emerging opportunities, anticipate potential risks, and inform strategic decisions within the global supply chain.
• Develop and implement sophisticated, multi-faceted risk management strategies to proactively mitigate potential supply chain disruptions and geopolitical challenges.
• Expertly negotiate and manage complex international contracts , safeguarding company interests and securing favorable terms across diverse legal and cultural frameworks.

Required Skills: 

• 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, or contracting, with a profound focus on global sourcing. This includes a proven track record of managing international supplier relationships and supply chain operations across various regions.
• Extensive and demonstrable expertise in all facets of strategic global sourcing , including deep understanding of foreign markets, diverse sectors, complex currency exchange mechanisms, and international tariffs. You've personally sourced international suppliers and handled end-to-end contract negotiations.
• Proven expertise in international contract management , encompassing the drafting, negotiation, and administration of agreements that transcend national borders.
• Highly skilled negotiator with a strong, verifiable track record of achieving successful outcomes and significant cost savings in global sourcing initiatives.
• Proven leadership background with experience leading, mentoring, and developing a team in a global context.
• Strong project management experience , particularly in large-scale, international initiatives.
• Non-expired passport or the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel. This role requires global mobility.

Preferred Skills: 

• Bilingual proficiency is highly valued , particularly in Indian or Chinese languages, reflecting our global operational footprint.
• Experience with Intuit Flow inventory tool.
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Strong desire for long-term career commitment within a global organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex international tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced global environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both internal and external stakeholders across different cultures.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 

Setting: On-site (no remote option)

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, and an incentive and recognition program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
