Job Description

Overview: The Genetics Counselor provides general pre- and post-testing support for genetic testing. Responsibilities: Documents all patient interaction, significant observations, interventions, and actions taken in the patient's medical record. Provides genetic counseling to patients and families regarding genetics risk, diagnosis, and diagnostic testing. Serves as a clinical resource person and effectively shares clinical expertise with staff, students, and community in both formal and informal teaching sessions. Temporary Licensed Genetic Counselors shall practice only under the supervision of a qualified supervisor. Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $33.92per hour - $58.34per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
