Job Details

We are looking for a Forensic Structural Engineer for our location in Tulsa, OK. We're looking for a dynamic, motivated, and highly skilled professional to join our team in a permanent, remote role. This position offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise in the engineering industry to challenging projects involving wood, steel, and masonry. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and the ongoing pursuit of excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting forensic investigations of buildings and other structures to determine the causes of structural failures.
2. Preparing detailed reports on your findings, including the factors that led to the failure and recommendations for repair or replacement.
3. Designing and implementing repair solutions for damaged structures.
4. Providing expert witness testimony in legal proceedings, as necessary.
5. Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and construction professionals on project design and implementation.
6. Using your expertise in wood, steel, and masonry to develop innovative solutions to complex structural problems.
7. Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
8. Participating in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

Education/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Structural Engineering (there is Training for the Forensic part of the job).
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in OK.
  • Expertise in the use of wood, steel, and masonry in structural design and repair.
  • Proven ability to conduct forensic investigations and prepare detailed, accurate reports.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience providing expert witness testimony is a plus.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
