Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated ESL Teacher to work full-time for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 school setting located in the Allentown, PA area. This contract position focuses on supporting English language learners by fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and academic success across grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver effective ESL instruction tailored to students' varying proficiency levels from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Utilize assessment data to create individualized learning plans that address language development and content-area support.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate language objectives across the curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding language acquisition goals.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives to improve ESL program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with ESL endorsement or equivalent credentials.
• Experience teaching English as a Second Language to K-12 students.
• Strong knowledge of current ESL teaching methodologies and standards.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
