Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a respected food manufacturing company in Keokuk, IA. Our client is seeking an experienced Electrician to join their maintenance team. This role offers competitive compensation ($35-40/hour with potential for higher pay for exceptional candidates) and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge industrial automation systems.

About Our Client: Our client is an established food manufacturing company with multiple facilities. They maintain high standards of safety and quality in their operations and are looking to expand their maintenance team with this newly created position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in industrial settings
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions to minimize downtime
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for accurate installation and repairs
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies
• Upgrade and modify electrical systems to meet operational needs and improve efficiency
• Work with 480 volt and below equipment, control systems, motors, and other industrial machinery
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Siemens)
• Collaborate with automation staff, maintenance staff, and other team members on electrical projects
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work
• Follow strict safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Valid electrician license
• Minimum 3rd year apprentice level or equivalent electrical experience
• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with 480V and below systems
• Experience with motor control, switchgear, and industrial automation systems
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Siemens)
• In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and hand tools
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and perform lifting, climbing, and crawling
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Schedule:

• Primary shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• On-call rotation: One night per week, one weekend per month
• Additional hours as business demands

Work Environment:

• Team of 6 maintenance professionals plus automation technician
• New position (not a replacement)
• Physical requirements include LOTO procedures, confined space work, and working at heights
