We are an employee-owned company with opportunities for growth. Our Alpharetta, GA office is seeking a qualified Electrical Power Engineer to support Mangan’s expanding electrical power offerings. Key Experience and Skills 4-8 years’ experience in developing comprehensive electrical construction and specification packages that can be stamped by a Professional Engineer and submitted for authority plan check, including: Grounding Conduit and cable schedules Construction specifications Equipment and installation details Additional experience with area classification drawings (preferred) Knowledge of NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, and API 500 (preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with power system modeling tools – ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower (preferred) Experience with electrical power relay settings generation and implementation – GE Multilin and SEL (preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skills Education Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam Completion Responsibilities Develop electrical power load studies Develop electrical power construction packages suitable for PE stamping and authority plan check Develop electrical power bills of material and coordinate with vendors for pricing Conduct field verification walkdowns for existing Electrical and E&I infrastructure Execute factory acceptance testing on electrical power equipment Lead start-up and commissioning, including E&I troubleshooting Provide after-hours support for internal/external clients as needed Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure quality and budget adherence; communicate technical progress and change needs Assist in developing cost estimates and proposals, applying costs to labor, expense, and procurement items Willingness to travel approximately 40% (air travel) Core Competencies Safety: Adheres to safety policies and actively participates in safety initiatives Accountability: Fulfills required hours and follows procedures Attitude: Positive, proactive, dependable, and receptive to direction Teamwork: Collaborates effectively with colleagues and clients Knowledge: Applies job-specific requirements and company policies Quality & Quantity of Work: Delivers work meeting standards and manages multiple tasks Problem Solving & Initiative: Analyzes problems and acts with good judgment Communication: Communicates clearly and respectfully, both written and verbal Compensation: Competitive salary with discretionary bonus potential Benefits: PTO, ESOP & 401(k) with employer match, company-funded health and dental insurance, wellness & vision subsidy, and short/long-term disability coverage Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Industries: Oil and Gas Get notified about new Power Engineer jobs in Alpharetta, GA. #J-18808-Ljbffr Mangan Inc.
