Title: eLearning Developer / Instructional Designer

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 Months Contract

Terms of Employment:

• W2 Contract, Three Months (Likely Extension)
• This position is hybrid. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in Oakbrook Terrace, IL on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
• Candidates must be comfortable interviewing in-person.

Overview:

• Join a leading firm in the utility sector as an eLearning Developer / Instructional Designer within their Project Management Office (PMO). This critical role focuses on transforming existing training content into dynamic, on-demand e-learning modules for Project Managers. You will be instrumental in developing engaging, interactive courses using cutting-edge e-learning software, directly contributing to the efficient onboarding and continuous development of the PM team. This is a hands-on development role, ideal for someone passionate about creating effective and innovative web-based training.

You will…

• Develop engaging and interactive e-learning modules from existing training content.
• Create on-demand courses for new Project Managers, focusing on in-house applications and department onboarding.
• Utilize Articulate Storyline (original version) and Articulate Rise to build comprehensive training solutions.
• Incorporate audio using WellSaid and video/user interface simulations using Vyond.
• Design and develop courses that go beyond static presentations, incorporating instructional design best practices.
• Explore and implement gamification and interactive elements to enhance learner engagement.
• Work closely with the PMO team to meet project deadlines and ensure high-quality training delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven proficiency in Articulate Storyline (original version) and Articulate Rise.
• Experience with WellSaid for audio integration in e-learning.
• Experience with Vyond for video and user interface simulations.
• Strong background in instructional design and e-learning development.
• Ability to provide examples or a portfolio of previously developed e-learning courses.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least three years of experience in e-learning development, with a strong portfolio of courses.
• Experience with the ADDIE instructional design model.
• Experience incorporating gamification into e-learning content.
• Familiarity with project management principles or experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO).
• Certification in Articulate or relevant e-learning training.
• Bachelor's degree.
