Join Arts for Learning Indiana, where passion for arts, education, and equity transforms lives and communities. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission to inspire creative learning and bring arts education to school communities. The Director of Donor Relations and Communications will lead donor cultivation, stewardship, marketing, and communications strategies, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term organizational goals. By deepening donor relationships and expanding engagement, this position strengthens Arts for Learning's leadership in arts education.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategies for donor cultivation, stewardship, and individual giving (portfolio management, direct mail, online campaigns, major gifts, etc.).
Plan and oversee marketing, communications, and branding efforts, including creating impactful print, digital, and media content by managing vendors, contractors, and interns.
Build and cultivate corporate sponsorships.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, volunteers, and community partners, to achieve fundraising and awareness goals.
Manage relationships with approximately 150 donors, prospect new opportunities, and oversee stewardship plans, ensuring personalized engagement and acknowledgment.
Direct the development of marketing materials and oversee the organization's social media and web presence.
Coordinate an average of 25 annual volunteers, including recruitment, training, support, resolving issues, and ensuring they are recognized for their important contributions.
Serve as a representative of Arts for Learning at community events and media opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, business, arts management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in donor relations and fund development, preferably in the arts or education sector.
Comfortable with Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Wix, WordPress, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Adobe Suite, and social media platforms.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality results.
Familiarity with evaluation tools for continuous improvement in operations and decision-making.
