About the Role As the Director of Corporate Communications , you’ll be at the helm of our global communications strategy—both internally and externally. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll craft and amplify Cognex’s story, ensuring it resonates with employees, customers, partners, and the communities we serve. This isn’t just any communications role—we’re looking for a smart, creative, and witty leader who knows how to make an impact with words and strategy. You’ll lead a high-performing team of communications professionals, driving initiatives that foster connection, culture, and business success. Reporting directly to the EVP of Employee Services & Chief Culture Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how Cognex shows up to the world. What You’ll Do Lead & Inspire – Manage a global team of communications experts, providing guidance, vision, and a little bit of fun along the way. Shape Our Narrative – Develop and execute a bold global communications strategy that aligns with Cognex’s business priorities, driving employee engagement and brand visibility. Be the Voice of Cognex – Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling, and engaging stories that resonate with our 2,500+ Cognoids and external stakeholders. Create & Oversee Content – Drive strategy, execution, and innovation for internal communications platforms (Intranet, digital signage, employee meetings) and other key channels. Collaborate with Key Leaders – Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Investor Relations , ensuring brand alignment and strategic storytelling across all touchpoints. Enhance Culture & Engagement – Reinforce our unique, vibrant culture and help employees understand where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re headed. What You Bring Exceptional Communication Skills – A master storyteller with the ability to simplify complex messages and connect with diverse audiences. Strategic Vision & Execution – A big-picture thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and get things done. People-Centric Leadership – Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams across different geographies and functions. Creativity & Adaptability – A knack for fresh, engaging approaches and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. Collaboration & Influence – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and partner effectively with senior executives. Project Management Excellence – Detail-oriented with strong organization, budgeting, and execution skills. Your Experience & Qualifications 15+ years of corporate communications experience , with a strong focus on employee engagement. Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field ( Master’s degree a plus! ). Experience navigating high-growth environments and leading communication strategies through change. Proven track record of building and leading a world-class corporate communications function. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint preferred . This role is based in our Natick, MA office with an on-site presence required 3-4 days per week . Why Join Cognex?
