What we are looking for: Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a Director Application Architect who sets the technical direction for KDP’s marketing and US Refreshment Beverages sales application architecture, ensuring the application’s capabilities are cost-effective with the long-term needs of the business and enterprise architecture. This includes KDP’s marketing, HQ sales, and frontline execution ordering and delivery systems. This individual’s objective is to ensure that applications meet organizational goals and priorities for versatility, usability, maintainability, robustness, and innovation. The Director Application Architect will leverage proven architectural patterns and practices to design the implementation of a technical architecture based on requirements and IT strategies, continuously improving and enhancing the application to address any capability gaps. What you will do: As the Director, Application Architect, you will… Promote alignment between the business and KDP Tech on what capabilities require investment to meet business goals and objectives. Define and facilitate technical and business discussions pertaining to the application’s future architectural direction. Develop the application’s architectural viewpoint, in which the business, information and technology viewpoints are synthesized into services/products/solutions that deliver capabilities to the company. Lead the development of implementation plans for the application’s architecture based on requirements and strategies. Lead the application’s governance process in alignment with the enterprise architecture’s governance structure. Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical application deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Define architectural patterns and reusable artifacts in the development, configuration and deployment of an application, and harvest those artifacts for repeatable use. Who you are: Deep knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., waterfall, spiral, SAFe, agile, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize and DevOps). Deep knowledge of agile architecture concepts to enable flexible evolution of applications to meet digital business requirements. Deep knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management. Leading skills in designing and building toolchains and workflows that enable self-service capabilities for software engineering and help automate infrastructure operations to accelerate the development and delivery of applications. Leading skills in designing software/internet-based computer/mobile programs by leveraging cloud computing and microservices to build scalable, flexible, and efficient web applications, treating the browser as a full-blown runtime and designing apps suitable for mobile and platform-specific. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams, with the proven ability to communicate with business acumen and work with diverse stakeholders, including those in an outsourced environment. Proven ability to analyze and translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into application architecture requirements.
