Merchandiser, Genuine Dickies & Accessories What will you do? A day in the life of a Merchandiser for Genuine Dickies and Accessories at Dickies looks a little like this.
The Merchandiser for Genuine Dickies and Accessories will support the merchandising strategy and execution for our Genuine Dickies and global Accessories categories. The Merchandiser will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, price/value, functionality, and style. This role reports to the Director of Merchandising for Genuine Dickies & Accessories.

- Assist in the merchandising strategy and execution of innovative and functional workwear apparel and accessories that align with the brand's vision and business objectives.
- Develop a strong understanding of the market, with a priority on Walmart, to identify opportunities and threats, stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and retail merchandising practices, especially in value-focused retailers like Walmart.
- Partner closely with the Tri-Color Workwear team to build the global accessories line, ensuring it connects back to their seasonal concepts and collections. This collaboration will help integrate the accessories line with the broader workwear offerings.
- Maintain merchandising plans, product assortments, and other documentation to ensure clear communication and execution of merchandising concepts.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead of industry developments and incorporate relevant trends into merchandising strategies.
- Ensure all products meet quality, price/cost, fit, and functional standards, with a priority on considering cost and manufacturability.
- Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, contributing to the development of the merchandising team.
- Present merchandising strategies and collections to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Continuously analyze the category and evaluate changes needed to improve efficiency, relevance, profitability, and commercial viability.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and merchandising management software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Creative mindset with the ability to support innovation in product offerings
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
- 3-5 years of merchandising experience, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry
