Overview:

The Laboratory Research Associate will be responsible for conducting experiments, handling laboratory equipment, and supporting various research activities in a site-based laboratory environment. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of research and development tasks, particularly in the areas of formulation preparation, active ingredient lab work, and manufacturing support. The role demands a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Educational Requirements:

Required: BS in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related fields).

Preferred: Degree in specific areas such as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering for roles in certain CPD&D (Crop Protection Development & Delivery) areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Work: Conduct experiments and handle laboratory equipment in a 100% site-based environment.

Formulation Labs: Prepare formulation samples, conduct physical property tests, and assist with formulation preparation and characterization.

Active Ingredient Labs: Perform small-scale lab activities, provide support to manufacturing, and troubleshoot issues in the process.

Technical Skills and Previous Experience:

Lab Equipment and Techniques: Proficiency with laboratory equipment and chemical/analytical techniques. Capable of setting up and operating lab equipment.

Prior Lab Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience working in a research, manufacturing, or engineering laboratory.

Safety and Compliance:

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S): Follow EH&S standards. Ensure the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Communication and Collaboration:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to document and clearly communicate research findings and results.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Good interpersonal skills and able to collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.
