As a vital member of the global Hertz Corporate Communications team, the Communications Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the team that delivers impactful communications for employees, customers, media and other key stakeholders. This role focuses on coordinating the implementation of key internal and external communications activities and coordinating projects for the Chief Communications Officer , This role will also assist with the drafting of communications materials and keeping the team organized alongside effective media monitoring and reporting. The coordinator collaborates closely with internal and external communication team members, ensuring seamless coordination and execution across all communication initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Play an integral role in supporting the Hertz Corporate Communications team, which comprises both internal and external communications, in developing and implementing strategic communications plans and initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.




  • Help to plan and draft PR materials including press releases, media pitches and engaging LinkedIn content.




  • Monitor media coverage and track industry news, generate daily media coverage report, relevant news and updates in real time.




  • Collaborate with the communications management team to monitor, analyze, measure and report the performance of communications activities and campaigns.




  • Coordinate projects on behalf of the Chief Communications Officer, scheduling, tracking actions and enforcing deadlines effectively.




  • Assist in planning team meetings and events.




  • Manage invoicing on behalf of the team, including processing invoices and overseeing vendor payments.




  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality while handling highly confidential and sensitive information.




  • Build and maintain relationships with peers to ensure effective cross-group collaboration.




  • Undertake other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

The starting salary is $60K; commensurate with experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • A highly organized and strategic thinker who has a passion for communications, media relations, content creation and storytelling.




  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.




  • 1+ year(s) experience in public relations, marketing, or communications required.




  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.




  • Self-starter with excellent organizational abilities who follows through on every action point.

  • Proven ability to coordinate efforts across various teams and experience managing multiple responsibilities.




  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with corporate management, senior leaders, and team members.




  • Established problem-solving and decision-making skills.




  • Demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential information and sensitive matters.




  • Experience with media monitoring tools such as MuckRack, Cision or Meltwater is a plus.




  • Content/presentation/PowerPoint skills, a plus.
