Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Endurant Disaster Recovery

Location: Southeastern United States (Hybrid/Remote with travel as required)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Position Summary:

Endurant Disaster Recovery is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive our continued growth. This critical leadership role will oversee the entire Financial Unit within a matrix organizational structure, providing strategic guidance and oversight to Divisional Financial Leadership across our Operating Business Units throughout the Southeastern United States. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for all aspects of financial planning, analysis, reporting, and strategy. A strong background in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and investor relations is essential, as this role will be instrumental in supporting our strategic growth initiatives and managing relationships with our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives, including long-range financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.

  • Financial Unit Oversight: Lead, mentor, and develop the entire Financial Unit, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all financial functions (accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning & analysis, internal audit).

  • Matrix Organization Leadership: Effectively manage financial operations within a matrix organizational structure, fostering collaboration and alignment with other departments and business units.

  • Divisional Financial Oversight: Provide strategic oversight and guidance to Divisional Financial Leadership within the Operating Business Units across the Southeastern United States, ensuring financial performance targets are met and consistent financial practices are applied.

  • Board Level Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present comprehensive, insightful, and transparent financial reports, analyses, and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and executive leadership.

  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Lead financial due diligence, valuation, structuring, and integration activities for potential M&A opportunities, supporting the company's growth strategy.

  • Investor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders, effectively communicating the company's financial performance, strategic vision, and growth prospects.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Drive robust FP&A processes, including variance analysis, trend identification, and performance metrics, to provide actionable insights for decision-making.

  • Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, investment strategies, and debt management to optimize liquidity and financial resources.

  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and internal controls. Identify and mitigate financial risks.

  • Capital Allocation: Advise on capital allocation decisions, including investments in technology, infrastructure, and organic growth initiatives.

  • Team Development: Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing financial team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree (MBA) and/or CPA designation highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5-7 years in a senior executive financial role (e.g., CFO, VP of Finance) preferably within a growth-oriented company.

  • Demonstrated experience operating effectively within a matrix organizational structure and overseeing divisional financial leadership in a multi-location environment.

  • Proven expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) is non-negotiable, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and post-acquisition integration.

  • Extensive experience in investor relations, including developing investor presentations, conducting roadshows, and effectively communicating with the investment community.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.

  • Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to diverse audiences, including board members, investors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams.

  • Experience in the disaster recovery, business continuity, or related service industries is a plus.

  • Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools.

  • Ability to travel as required across the Southeastern United States.
