Job Description

Malace|HR is seeking an experienced Boiler Room Operator to support building operations across multiple facilities in Maryland. This role will oversee boiler operations, HVAC systems, and general facility maintenance while ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a licensed operator with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, capable of working independently across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain safe, secure, and efficient facility operations across 7 buildings.

• Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, air compressors, and associated equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair power systems, HVAC systems and controls, and other mechanical systems.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plumbing, electrical, and building systems.

• Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as required.

• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service work as needed.

• Drive company-provided vehicle to multiple sites within 10–15 minutes of the main facility.

Qualifications

• Maryland Stationary Grade 2 License (required).

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in boiler operations, facilities maintenance, or related field.

• Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, air compressors, and electrical systems.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Must pass MVR check as part of background screening.

• Hands-on knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance best practices.
