Job Title: Assembly Line Leader
Position Overview: As an Assembly Line Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the production process and managing the team members on the manufacturing line. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production line, meeting quality and productivity targets, and maintaining a safe working environment. Your strong leadership and organizational skills will be vital in motivating the team and driving continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Supervision: Supervise and coordinate activities of production operators on the manufacturing line to ensure the timely and accurate completion of production tasks. Monitor the workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to optimize productivity.
Quality Assurance: Enforce strict adherence to quality control standards and procedures to maintain the highest product quality. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from quality standards.
Training and Development: Train new team members on the manufacturing line, providing them with proper guidance on procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. Continuously mentor and develop the skills of existing team members to enhance their performance.
Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and enforce all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct safety meetings, address safety concerns, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of production operators, tracking their individual and team productivity, attendance, and adherence to company policies. Provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations regularly.
Communication: Facilitate effective communication between the production line and management. Share production updates, challenges, and achievements with relevant stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction. Collaborate with the continuous improvement team to implement lean manufacturing principles and enhance overall efficiency.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure adequate supply of materials for uninterrupted production.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain production reports, including output, downtime, and quality data. Present these reports to management to provide insights into the manufacturing line's performance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or management education is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of production operators.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to creating a safe work environment.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using computer applications for data entry and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
