Munich Airport NJ LLC is an US-based subsidiary of the German Airport Operator Munich Airport. Munich Airport NJ LLC is responsible for the maintenance and concession management of Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)! We are looking for an Airport Terminal Operations Intern- Planning to join our team as soon as possible.

Airport Terminal Operations Intern – Planning

This is a paid internship position. Join our team for the Spring 2025 semester for what is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing organization, where you will contribute to the development of safe, efficient, and innovative passenger terminal operations. You will report to the Manager Operations Planning and be provided with a chance to enhance your knowledge and skills, while making important contributions for the development of the company and terminal. We are looking for a candidate who is looking for an introduction to airport operations and start building a strong background in the industry. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of operating one of the most advanced terminal developments in the United States, and learn about a broad range of areas, including Terminal Operations, Airside Operations, Baggage Handling System, Operations Control, as well as Terminal Security. You will be responsible for supportive work and daily tasks. Hours are flexible to accommodate your class schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute daily traffic reports and forecasts, using available schedule data.
  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards, providing insights into operational performance.
  • Support the development and implementation of a formal management reporting system to capture and communicate operational data and metrics, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Manager Operations Planning.
Education & Training
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Airport Management, Aviation Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Power BI
Skills & Experience
  • Showcased ability to work in a professional, dynamic environment through previous internship or relevant work experience. This includes part-time work, work study, side-gigs, freelancing, volunteering, summer work, or internships
  • Legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time, permanent, and ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Consistent, detail-oriented, and excellent organizational skills
  • Computer literate, with proficient skills in using the MS Office suite and Power BI
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
