Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Actuary to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing statistical data, evaluating financial risks, and designing strategies to minimize risk and maximize profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business decisions through actuarial models, forecasts, and financial reporting.

Duties

•Analyze statistical data such as mortality, accident, sickness, disability, and retirement rates.
•Develop, test, and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
•Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders and senior management.
•Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, and finance teams to assess risk and recommend pricing strategies.
•Conduct experience studies and ensure appropriate assumptions are used in models.
•Monitor trends and emerging risks in the insurance or financial sectors.
•Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
•Participate in audits and assist with external reviews as necessary.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
•Passed at least [insert number] actuarial exams; ASA or FSA designation preferred.
•2+ years of experience in actuarial roles (e.g., life, health, P&C, pension).
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, AXIS, or equivalent) and Excel.
•Familiarity with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SAS) is a plus.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills.
