Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions and foreign currency reconciliation.
  • Load and reconcile data in SAP S4 and FDMEE/Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  • Conduct accounting research and draft technical position papers.
  • Provide audit support and respond to ad-hoc data requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statement analytics and management reports.
  • Act as primary contact for assigned sectors, ensuring effective communication.
  • Participate in special projects and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, particularly SAP S4.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience from a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • CPA or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Experience with Blackline, SAP, and Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Strong GAAP accounting proficiency and research experience.
  • Understanding of government contract accounting regulations, cost accounting standards, and federal acquisition regulations.

Salary Range: $61,900.00 - $91,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
